There's not many rules, so I'll keep it quick and concise:
While these rules don't carry as much importance as the General Site Rules or Role Play Rules, they should be treated as such. Anyone who breaks the aforementioned rules will be warned. However, if the behavior continues, you risk account banning. So, be smart!
- No offsite links: Use the chat box for general, quick conversations with the members. If you need to send someone a link, shoot them a message.
- No ads for other websites: There's a specific board just for other sites. Use the Other Websites board for this.
- Cussing is allowed, but potentially triggering stuff is not: The Den strives to be as restriction free as possible. However, while cussing is allowed, we do not want anyone to be triggered by content posted in the Shout Box for everyone to see. If it seems triggering, keep it in a message.
- 3 word minimum: In order to cut down on spam, try to keep your postings/shouts in the Shout Box longer than 3 words. Anything under is considered spam and most likely does not add much to the chat anyway.
- No more than 5 emotes: This rule piggy-backs on the previous one. A string of more than 5 emotes/emoticons probably doesn't add much to the chat, rendering it irrelevant. Keep the smileys controlled, people! xD
- Keep the chat general and on topic: There's a pretty big chance that quite a bit of members are going to be using the chat at once, so keep all topics general (i.e. try not to single out members by talking about topics that only a few members can talk about) and keep them ON TOPIC. For example, a general question that could be used for the Shout Box is "Does anyone know when the theme changes back to normal?". Do not use the Shout Box for things like this: "Hey, [user], that one scene in our 1x1 was cool!". Conversations like that can be done via PM. Also, if your shout has little to nothing to do with the general topic being discussed in the Shout Box, save it until it does or send it over PM. Off topic shouts are considered spam.
